Breastfeeding during the first few months of life is a very special experience for both mother and child. It not only provides your baby with essential nutrition, but also fosters closeness, comfort, security, and trust. In addition, breast milk offers protection against infections and supports your child’s healthy development. 

Breastfeeding engages all of your baby’s senses: they can see, feel, hear, smell, and taste you. This intense closeness creates special moments and can strengthen the bond between mother and child. Breastfeeding therefore not only satisfies hunger but also fulfills your baby’s need for closeness and security. 

Breastfeeding is a natural process—and yet, getting started doesn’t always go as smoothly as one might hope. Pain during breastfeeding, sore nipples, uncertainty about latching, or worries about not having enough milk can be stressful for both mother and child. Unfortunately, such difficulties still far too often lead to premature weaning.

In my practice, I see time and again that uncertainties and problems arise because mothers lack important information and practical guidance, or because they are unsettled by many different—and sometimes contradictory—recommendations. As a certified breastfeeding and lactation consultant, I would therefore like to support you individually on your personal journey. Together, we’ll explore what you and your baby need—whether it’s questions about breastfeeding, specific challenges, or bottle-feeding. 

I, Simone Behr, will support you with expertise, empathy, and without pressure as you find your own way. 

Costs:
The first half hour costs €30.00; each additional minute costs €1.00, plus travel expenses. Personal breastfeeding counseling is a private service. Telephone counseling is also subject to a fee and is billed by the minute at €1.00 per minute. Upon request, you will receive an invoice that you can submit to your health insurance provider. In some cases, the counseling may be fully or partially reimbursed.
