Your body has changed by the time you give birth; pregnancy and childbirth place significant strain on the muscles of the pelvic floor, back, and abdomen, stretching and thereby weakening them. Although your body begins to recover immediately after childbirth, you’ll need to be patient until you regain your pre-pregnancy figure.
Once your body has recovered somewhat—about six to eight weeks after giving birth—you should slowly begin postpartum exercise to gently strengthen your tissues and muscles again. In addition, these targeted exercises reduce the risk of long-term complications such as
uterine prolapse or incontinence.
We support and guide you during this postpartum period. Join our postpartum exercise classes—the costs are covered by your health insurance.
Classes are two hours long and take place on five evenings, one week apart.
